Linda’s Story
Linda has always had a fascination of shells - collecting, polishing and learning about each species through research in books and Conchology magazine. In 2010 she completed her first exquisite Shell House - a personal project and labour of love. The project introduced her to creating intricate shell mosaics on a much larger scale. The finished result of the shell house immediately brought about her first commission and that was the beginning of her business.
She has the expertise of her own hands-on builder, Colin Thomas, who works with her on every installation and extraordinarily detailed packaging to protect the shell products. The award winning joiner and British designer Jake Phipps expertly cuts the boards for every project. Alice Barrington-Wells makes sure every project runs smoothly and seamlessly dovetails into the next one. Her calm, professional organisational skills are superb and vital to the business.
Influenced by Georgian and Classical designs, weaving her own contemporary twist into each piece. Linda combines native and exotic shells to create exquisite motifs. Her creative eye makes her unique pieces fresh, relevant and hugely desirable.
Howe we work
Each of our installations is usually first drawn to scale and shape by an architect or an interior designer. We then come in and help define that concept to ensure feasibility and durability.

Once we have the shape and scale in place we have the frame or caucus hand made by our preferred joiners here in the UK.

Working with our joiners also ensures the perfect fit (within 5mm) for the final installation, which is essential given so many of our installations happen overseas, many miles from our studio in North Yorkshire.

Once we have the shape and frame, Linda gets to work on the pattern, colours and overall vision, and that’s when the magic happens!

The design and application of the shell patterns and motifs is executed by Linda with precision, grace and exquisite artistry.

Once completed we arrange shipment in line with the project time line for install.
